A Cambodia where every family has the knowledge, skills, and resources to live with dignity, security, and hope — where no child's future is limited by the circumstances of their birth.
To empower vulnerable families and youth in Siem Reap through four integrated programs — English & Digital Literacy, Child Sponsorship, Smart Agriculture, and Community Skills Training — creating lasting pathways out of poverty.
SAMMA Cambodia Organization was founded in 2026 by Keouy Kouk, a Cambodian who grew up facing hardship in Siem Reap. Having experienced firsthand how loneliness and lack of support can shape a child's future, Keouy returned to his roots with one mission: to build the safe, welcoming community he never had — and to make sure no child in Siem Reap has to face the world alone.
We are beginning with a vision: an after-school English program, a Smart Agriculture farm initiative, a child sponsorship network, and a community skills training hub. Each program is designed to complement the others — creating a holistic path from vulnerability to self-sufficiency. We are actively seeking our founding donors, sponsors, and volunteers to bring this vision to life.
SAMMA Cambodia Organization is newly established in 2026 with a small but dedicated local team, supported by international volunteers and donors from around the world. Every program is designed to address the root causes of poverty, not just its symptoms — and we are building it together, from the very beginning.
Our Location
Siem Reap is home to the world-famous Angkor Wat temples — and one of Cambodia's most significant wealth disparities. While tourism brings millions of dollars into the region, many families living just kilometers from the temples survive on less than $3 a day.
Rural and peri-urban communities around Siem Reap face limited access to quality education, food insecurity, and few economic opportunities beyond subsistence farming. Children are often pulled from school to help support their families.
We chose Siem Reap because the need is acute, the community is resilient, and the proximity to international visitors creates a unique opportunity to connect donors and volunteers directly with the families they support.
What We Stand For
Every decision we make is guided by the needs and voices of the families we serve. We build with communities, not for them.
We address the root causes of poverty — not just its symptoms — through four integrated programs that reinforce each other.
We are committed to publishing detailed financial reports and program outcomes so every donor knows exactly how their contribution is used. Transparency is built into how we operate from day one.
We measure success in generations, not quarters. Every program is designed to create self-sufficiency that outlasts our involvement.

The Heart of SAMMA
"To me, a safe space is more than just a building with four walls. It is a feeling of being completely accepted and protected — a warm, welcoming environment where children and youth know they truly belong and are valued. Ultimately, it is a place where no child ever has to feel alone, unwanted, or invisible."
— Keouy Kouk, Founder
The moment Keouy knew he had to build this center came from his own painful journey. Growing up, he faced loneliness and hardship — but he survived, kept studying, and turned that past into purpose. Today, his biggest dream is opening a physical community center right here in Siem Reap.
This center is where every SAMMA program will come alive under one roof. Children will come to the Center for English classes, education support, life skills, and sports. Parents will attend vocational training and agricultural workshops. Most importantly, every person who walks through the door will be met by caring adults who will actually listen.
Over the next ten years, we hope SAMMA Cambodia will be remembered as the organization that turned pain into purpose — that gave children and families not just help, but real hope and self-reliance.
Founder Keouy Kouk grew up facing loneliness and struggle. He survived, kept studying, and made a promise: no child in Siem Reap should have to fight the world alone the way he did.
The Community Center is where every SAMMA program converges — English classes, farm training, skills workshops, and sports — all in one warm, welcoming space where children know they are valued.
In ten years, we want to see hundreds of young people grow up confident, educated, and strong — because they had a safe place to belong and caring adults who believed in them.
Be one of our founding supporters — help us build something meaningful in Siem Reap from the very start.
